These earrings, along with a few other pieces from the same period, were inspired by Ella Fitzgerald’s version of the song, “Midnight Sun,” composed by Lionel Hampton and Sonny Burke in 1947 with lyrics later written by Johnny Mercer in 1954. I have a deep love of jazz songs written in a minor key and on a descending scale.
Delicate pure silver filigree fills the crescent phases, surrounding a naturally formed chrysocolla drusy, framed in 18K and 22K gold with a fall of naturally golden Biwa and baroque pearls. and suspended from a hand-fused loop-in-loop chain.

This unique, Russian filigree cuff bracelet was inspired by recent NASA photos of the storm cloud bands of Jupiter and is made from platinum enhanced sterling and fine (pure) silver. Like any capricious and volatile deity, Jupiter often eclipses his powerful and long-suffering spouse Juno, whose storms are no less legendary and for whom this bracelet is named.

Glistening Flame is part of the Celestial Collection, inspired by my passion for astronomy and my love for twinkling stars amidst dark skies. The Russian filigree elements were created with platinum enhanced sterling for the frames and pure silver for the indivually formed filler wires. The dangling chalcedony drusies have been vacuum bonded with titanium to create the blue color and enhance their uniquely faceted brilliance. They are set in platinum-enhanced sterling bezels.
