And
The Seattle Metals Guild Biennial Exhibition

Alas, one trip to Seattle this fall was all I could swing, but I was fortunate to attend the recent Seattle Metals Guild Symposium. The speaker line up was exceptional! It was wonderful to catch up with so many friends and colleagues in my second in-person adventure since 2020. The sushi in Seattle was another big bonus. (I could eat my weight in wild-caught, Pacific salmon, but I endeavored to show some restraint!)
I was also fortunate to attend SNAG’s Tides and Waves Symposium: Indigenous Peoples of North Amercia online in September. I thought I was fairly clued in to the challenges of native peoples on my home continent, but I learned so very much more that should be part of every world history book. I also learned loads about techniques with which I was unfamiliar like quilling and birch bark biting, in addition to connecting with many stellar artists who presented. You can access the recordings of these talks by signing up on SNAG’s site.
An esteemed colleague recently sent me this video. He wishes to remain anonymous for security reasons, but those of you who know him will recognize the wicked sense of humor.
My Eastern Repoussé Tool Sets perform all kinds of helpful jobs!
While they’re the only tools that work for the technique of Eastern Repoussé, chasing and repoussé are far from the only thing you can do with them.
Have you seen my latest Eastern repoussé project?
