I’m Back!

I’m still in re-entry mode and slowly coming down from the high from my presentation at Craft Meets Code and my in-person and hybrid workshop at Silvera Jewelry School. I’m thrilled to say the trip was one of the highlights of my career!
A special thanks to emcee and moderator Curtis Arima for the exceptional introduction to my talk. Curtis and my fellow presenters Doug Bucci and Jennifer Altman made our panel discussion so vibrant and synergistic that I didn’t want it to end! One more special thanks to Doug for publicly saying one of my answers was a complete ‘mic drop.’
The MAGSF board and organizers were a delight to work with and made the whole event run perfectly smoothly. I enjoyed catching up with colleagues and friends and meeting so many people who were jazzed by the energy.

Silvera Jewelry School co-owner Jenn Kirkpatrick glided me through teaching my first in-person workshop in 7 years. Eventually, I even got used to the disembodied voices calling my name through the large display as the online students asked questions! Years ago Jenn and I honed our Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon routine down to an art form in online courses. In person we’re an unstoppable Kermit and Scooter.

I’m also happy to report that 3 days before we left for California, we finally got a kitchen sink. It’s the little things that make or break my ability to cope with chaos, for, beautiful as our completely renovated kitchen is, most of the rest of our home and my studio are still upside down.
