See that hole in the island countertop just below the arrow on the space where Flame Navigation is intended?

I’m thrilled to say that after 9 months of construction and 3 months of cooking in our not-quite-completed kitchen, we finally have a kitchen sink!!! I’m having to retrain myself to use it instead of the tiny bar sink that was never intended for washing pans.

The panels’ progress has slowed because of all the scheduled (and some surprise…more later) fall projects. Here’s a sneak peek on the etched panel. I’m still struggling with a title for it, so if you have a cool idea, hit reply and share it please!

I hope to see you at Craft Meets Code, the 75th Anniversary Symposium of the Metal Arts Guild of San Francisco on October 17, 2026 at the Brower Center in Berkeley.

I’m super excited to share how I make the past present with my innovative applications and pioneering methods of granulation, filigree, and Eastern repoussé.

I’ll also share how my artistry rests on a groundwork of rigorous research, practical experimentation, and developing connections with both trained experts and unconventional teachers.

This just added!

As part of my talk I’m including a sneak peek video on a newsworthy, collaborative, research project with a well-known Egyptologist about one of the world’s greatest art treasures. If you’re there, you’ll be the first to find out the definitive answer to a long mystery!

See you there!
