GET ONE-ON-ONE INSTRUCTOR TIME AND FEEDBACK AS YOU PROGRESS THROUGH THE COURSE

Enter a new realm of individualized, online metalsmithing that gives everyone a front seat for live group Q&A coaching for their projects, fits demos within your own studio schedule, and creates a strong sense of community. Victoria will answer questions between sessions via Padlet, a private virtual space. You’ll receive continued support from Victoria via Padlet for 4 months to ensure you have time to translate these techniques into more of your own projects and designs.

Access close-up, step-by-step demonstrations in high res, 4K video to watch as you work along at your own pace.

Well before each of the live sessions, you will get access to new demo videos to watch as you work at your own pace. Start and stop as needed. Easily find demos you’d like to repeat. Work asynchronously, when your schedule or time zone allows, knowing you’ll have the support and community you need without getting overwhelmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Many of my online students cannot attend any of the live session because of time zones, work, or other obligations but still do fabulous work in the courses and are able to connect with me and each other through the dashboard asynchronously.

Access to the live session, coaching calls will be posted on Padlet (the class dashboard) within 24 hours.

All of the Q&A session recordings, demonstration videos, the ability to ask questions, and request feedback will be available to students until May 1, 2023.

Although you won’t get lifetime access to these recordings and demos, the handouts, of course, are yours to download and keep forever.

Wire working is not a prerequisite for this course. Plenty of people who have little experience or success in fine wire working go onto to create beautiful filigree after studying with me.

The Beginning Russian Filigree Course has time-limited access (4 months) with over 15 self-paced demos and 5 live coaching Q&A sessions with me, for a total of over 7 hours of live time.

You’ll access the demos, handouts, Zoom links, and resources through the class dashboard, where you can ask questions anytime and get frequent feedback from me on your projects, and the support and community that comes with joining a live cohort.

It features newer demos filmed in 4k with with extra demo content not included in the Vimeo download—for a total of 6 hours of in-depth demonstrations—that breaks down chasing from the front in more detail for creating Repoussé animals and florals.

The Vimeo video is completely self-paced with access to a Q&A forum with an archive of past questions. You have lifetime access to the content. It was filmed some years ago in 720 resolution, and while the professional camera work gets super up close, the videography employs older tech.

I have watched many students learn well from both the Vimeo video and the semi-live courses. It really depends on whether you work best with a completely self-paced format (Vimeo), or whether you’d prefer help and coaching from me, the built-in accountability of learning in a group, and a loose schedule to keep you on track with goals (the structured online course).

No, but I’m thrilled to teach people in the comfort of their studios. Running my own online school takes an enormous amount of time, but it allows me to teach people around the world without the physical pain that traveling was causing me. I miss spending time with people in person, but I don’t miss hauling heavy suitcases and walking miles in airports. Now, everyone gets a front row seat with more individualized help and the extended time to learn complex projects and techniques that I was never able to offer in person.

You must know how to solder with a torch and have basic jewelry making skills including soldering, sawing, filing, etc.
