Unprecedentedly Imperfect – The 1st Zoom Open Studio During COVID-19
Friday was Day 14 of my family’s self-isolation, and we continue to celebrate that we’re symptom free! We’re also refusing to go anywhere for a long time to be safe and do our part.
As promised, here is the recording of last week’s world-wide open studio on Zoom.
Also as promised, I didn’t clean up the studio, and I am, in fact wearing yoga pants.
Hair down, demos on the fly, and very very rough and minimal editing…it’s the locked down me…embracing life and not even pretending to be perfect.
But the very best thing about the Zoom call was who all showed up. Thanks to each of you there who helped me stay sane and a little bit focused amidst the unthinkable. Thanks for your questions and demo requests, and just plain thanks for being there.
Studio tour about 8 minutes in. Puppies and questions after that. Demos start around the 20 minute mark.
- Eastern repousse cuff bracelets
- Filing and soldering Russian filigree
- Tips on using an Orion welder for filigree
- Making filigree filler wire
I hope to do this again in the coming weeks. If you have requests for demos, post them in the comments below.
May you and yours stay safe and well!
