More Good News + Tell Me What You Want to Learn
It’s official! Chris and I raised the most funds for WCLK Jazz 91.9 during our on-air event Signature Serenade. We raised $4596. and over $14,000 all total together with the other participants. I have to send a big giant thank you to everyone who contributed, especially right before the deadline when we were just barely in first place. You put us over the top! The win for us was great, but the best part is the win for the station and for the art form of jazz music.
Shortly after Giving Voice won a Silver Medal for best multi-media book, I received word that the print edition was a finalist for the National Indie Excellence Award for Best Interior Book Design. Needless to say, all these highlights have helped mitigate the current stress and inspired me to stay at the drawing board.
At Last I can teach wherever, whenever!
I’m now knee deep in to a bunch of things, and top of the list is offering online workshops in the metalsmithing techniques I’m well known for. As usual, I’m swamped (and slightly overwhelmed) at the ideas I’ve come up with. Teaching live on Zoom with recorded permanent access demos means I can teach all kinds of things that I don’t usually get to teach in person. It also means I can teach just about anywhere.
Your input would be extremely helpful as I develop the course materials. You probably have screen fatigue (it’s real) and aren’t wild about surveys (me either), but this one will literally take 3 minutes and only has a handful of short questions. Thanks in advance for filling it out!!!
