Yours to take home and love

I use medieval illumination techniques to bring animals to life, painting them into fanciful settings inspired by the ornate vinework of 500 year old manuscripts. I observe and photograph most of my subjects in person in order to portray their individual expressions, dignity and uniqueness faithfully. 

The level of detail required to paint with such precision requires the tiniest of sable brushes, a light touch, and endless patience. Ironically, these pieces can take as long to complete as far larger works.

All artworks are available as signed, archival prints. Some originals also available
