Master Eastern Repoussé with Precision & Confidence
Eastern Repoussé and chasing is an ancient, time-honored technique that allows you to sculpt intricate designs directly into metal with unparalleled depth and precision. For thousands of years, artists have used this method to create stunning geometric patterns, lifelike animals, flowing foliage, and even regal pharaohs — all with a level of detail no other process can achieve.
Victoria Lansford’s 2025 Eastern Repoussé Extended Course isn’t just another class—it’s an in-depth learning experience designed to equip you with the exact skills, techniques, and insights to create dimensional metalwork in silver, copper, or gold.

About Victoria:
Victoria Lansford is an artist and educator who combines historical metalsmithing and illumination processes with cutting edge technology to create contemporary interpretations of centuries old craft forms. With a creative career spanning over 30 years, her genre-busting and award-winning art ranges in scale from intricate art jewelry and miniatures to architectural metalwork.
Exhibitions and publications of Victoria’s artwork include the Museum of Contemporary Craft, Rochester Institute of Technology, the Georgia Museum, the Lark 500 series, Metalsmith and Jewelry Artist magazines, and Home and Garden Television. Recent large-scale commissions include a copper room divider and Eastern repousse doors for one of the world’s largest superyachts, and her digital/hardbound book Giving Voice, which she wrote, animated, and illustrated.
Victoria has taught and mentored thousands of metalsmiths around the globe through her online school, sold-out workshops, instructional series, Metal Techniques of Bronze Age Masters, and iPhoneTM app, iMakeJewelry. As a result, she has created a renaissance for metal techniques, including Russian filigree, granulation, and Eastern repoussé.
Victoria lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband Chris, son Skyler, and two Shelties Boudica and Elizabeth.

Start and stop as needed. Easily find demos you’d like to repeat. Work asynchronously, when your schedule or time zone allows, ask questions on the dashboard and in live sessions. Get the support you need without getting overwhelmed when life gets in the way
Total work time with instructor feedback: 6 months.
Just a Few of the Included Demos
Whether large or small, high or low relief, traditional or contemporary styles, the technique of Eastern repoussé and chasing lets you do more.
This is the type of repousse used by the ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Scythian metalsmiths to achieve works of unsurpassed beauty, and the technique Victoria has employed for everything from stunning jewelry to huge sliding doors on a bespoke super yacht.
By creating multiple projects on a jewelry scale, you will gain a deep knowledge of the process that can be used on any scale whether wearable, functional, or sculptural.
