Tap, tap, tap went Beatrix’s chasing hammer on her Eastern Repousse Line Tool as it glided around the recessed curves she had designed. Heather began raising this vessel from a flat disc of copper sheet to the nearly full height you now see. She began sinking the disc over her tiny anvil to forge the cup shape and has progressed to bringing in the top portion by angle raising the vessel over a steel T-stake (just like non-winged humans do). Her left paw is becoming a little sore from the vibration, but with good technique and persistence, she hopes to move onto the planishing stage to remove the deeper hammer marks very soon.
