I am thrilled to announce that the multi-touch edition of Giving Voice is now available on Apple Books.
Giving Voice is a multi-touch art book about the connections we form and how they can dramatically change our paths. The narrative traces the story of how the childhood gift of a board game came to ignite the author’s passion for ancient Egypt and send her on a truly different life journey as an artist.
The book’s unique and original artwork encompasses mixed media and gilded paintings with hand lettered calligraphy. The cover was created in the ancient technique of Eastern repousse combined with the Japanese technique of mokume gane. In this multi-touch Apple Book edition, the artwork comes alive with stunningly vibrant animations set to elegant, rhythmic jazz piano and a stop animation of the cover’s three-year progress from flat sheet to dimensional sculpture. The painstakingly hand-lettered pages expand to allow the viewer to explore the artwork in exceptional detail, and Victoria reads that calligraphic texts on each page to create a truly one-of-a-kind experiential book.
