Sahara Blue

Eastern repousse and chased pendant, Roman chain
Shakudo, 22k gold, fine silver, sterling, Koroit opal

Shakudo is an ancient Japanese alloy of 4% gold and 96% copper. It has long been prized for the unusual colors it turns when patinated. In this case, I chose to make it bronze colored with a metallic blue flash in some areas, which are visible in the photograph.

1-3/4" long x 5/8" wide x 1/2" deep, chain adjustable to 18"
